I am not really a heavy-metal fan , but I love this manic frenzied recording by Ozzy Osbourne and the boys. A disappointing no. 61 in the U.S. , but it went much higher ( no. 4 ) in the U.K. : we must have been more receptive to this kind of musical madness !
No, the NZ one came first, so the UK one would be filed as 60559019uk...Comment by ppint.:
so if a uk "6059019" turns up, this one will transmogrify into 6059019nz automagically? neat.Comment by Hawkmarty:
Aha! This Vertigo catalogue number was unique to this release (I think) and/or it is the first to be added so it doesn't need the country identifier to distinguish it from other releases with the same catalogue number. This all happens automatically in the background.Comment by ppint.:
no, no; being a bear of very little remaining brain, i tend to look for some consistency in stock catalogue numberling - and some of the kiwiiiian vertigo cat nos. are nnnnnnnnz, and others... are not.
if phonogram gave every country's paranoid/the wizard a unique cat no, i could - well, not understand it, but just think "record companies!"Comment by Hawkmarty:
Is there a 6059019nz already? There wasn't a New Zealand entry under Black Sabbath until I added this?Comment by ppint.:
is this not 6059010nz ? (or even 605919nz?)Comment by Hawkmarty:
Surprised this wasn't already on. Poor Rodger has his name wrong again.
How much does it cost to make 100 copies on 7" from a tape recording? It depends on what you can sell each copy for as a mean average. I'd like one but with no pretence other than this is a cheaply available bootleg.
I bought it on Ebay the first time I registered it for sale in 2011. So most likely that's the date it was issued. Another one is out for sale on ebay now, and the seller state that it is as limited as 100 copies. But as long as he has listed it as an EP, I wonder if he has control?
