The record was played several times on Radio 1 at the time, as was a simultaneous Dandelion 45, Clifford T. Ward's 'Coathanger'. I read a little later that both of them would almost certainly have sold enough to reach the Top 50 had it not been for Dandelion's distribution problems, as it was in its death throes at the time. Significantly, both acts signed to larger labels and were instantly rewarded with the biggest hits of their careers, both Top 10, in summer 1973.
