With respect Sir, we're not all "dodgy as hell", just because we don't (in my case CAN'T) scan. I can assure you I spend many, MANY hours on here, (sometimes on a 12 hour basis) checking, and entering records..even those that I am constantly throwing into my "iggy bin". for re-sale at 12 records for a measly UK £1 at my local weekly auction.

Btw, must admit, those records that members that have scanned on your behalf, have added some wonderful specimens. Many, MANY thanks to you, and the up-loaders for that D.T.F.
.

I was talking about discogs. I totally understand. It took me a few years to get even upto adding any images of any kind.[/quote]

Ah Discogs.. (I also understand where you're comin' from now Diognes)..that's the music site I'm not a member of.. this one beats it hands down imho!,but grudingly, I'll admit that I do have a wee nosey on there now and again, basically to see if anyone has paid more for a genuine Gold Disc (of the artists I collect) But, nope.. no-one ever has :pleased:

Question to the mods:

As I upload Diognes_The_Fox's images I sometimes come across some that are "cleaner" than the existing ones. I usually upload them. What's the recommendation beyond that? I've done 3 things in the past.

1. Put a correction in so the mods will notice
2. Put in a comment mentioning the original submitter (like TheJudge usually does).
3. Do nothing and assume the mods will figure it out.

What the best course of action?

I also move the image I've replaced to 'Hidden' status. I think only mods can do that, though.

Yes. That's partially the reason for my query.

This morning I said to myself "Let's have a pop at the next big label... Polydor... then I'll take a break..."

Twelve hours later...!!!!!

Diognes, I take it you're something of a Polydor collector?!

Not really. Just happens to be a lot of them out there. ;)
I got a job recently working for a large internet dealer, so that's been taking up a huge chunk of my time and energy at the moment. I just spent most of yesterday getting caught up on putting about 350 12"/LP label images I took during the week.

I've finished most of the US H & I singles in the download. Starting on the Js.

Great work guys! I started going through about 4000 45's in a corner of my bedroom that I'm going to start finally getting listed for sale and am doing my best to provide both sides where needed, so hopefully, the next batch of labels should be out sooner or later.

Bumping this back up just to say that I think we've finally completed the job (after about 11 months)! I've now seen enough RSO variants to last several lifetimes.

I know that Klepsie, doormanperdomo & musictom have also done a huge amount to get D_T_F's treasure trove up, but many others pitched in as well, so huge thanks to all.

It's not quite all over though; the early version of the stash which I downloaded also contains a lot of 12", 78 and CD single scans, so I'll be concentrating on getting those onto the various parts of 45worlds over the next few months.

And of course, a big thank-you to D_T_F himself for making them available to us.

Good gravy! I thought we'd never make it to the end. All praise to you and everyone else involved.

I'm glad this thread resurfaced, I was wondering what the deal was with those images.

Now I'm curious about the Aware Record Research Library images that I see posted a lot. Anyone?
