Since these scans are 45 related, but have no actual "homes/pages" to fit into, I've decided to stick them here!...enjoy......John

First a sheet of blank Apple labels; (note all US 45 sheets of labels come in a group of 16....but only four can fit on the scanner)

Blank A&M's from the 80's..

Blank Capitol labels from the 80's

A sheet of Acetate labels from Capitol Studios

A Multitrack Recording Sheet from Capitol Studios

Blank Caribou labels

Blank London labels

A reel-to-reel tape hub from Abbey Road Studios

...same hub, close-up..

A Columbia/Masterworks (CBS/Masterworks?)portable 45rpm player from the early 60's.."The Rover"...you push the disc in to play!..(top view)

front/side view....to remove the single you push the "REJECT" button, (not "eject")....oh,... it only works on large-hole 45's!

Shame there isn't an "I want it" option in the forum, I want a sheet of those Apple labels!

You can't.

BEATLEJOHN is being creative!

We're still working on a 'formal' way to do this stuff.

John's 'created' a record and uploaded the pics there!

Yeah, I being a little "cute"...but it was 45 related suff anyway (not pix of me and the kids!)...by the way Deltics...I remember getting the Apple labels at a "Beatlefest" in the mid-70's ('76 or '77) and I paid $10 for it (at the time a lot of money!)...I remember the same dealer the next year had cut all his sheets up into "pairs" (one a-side, b-side) and charging $5 apiece!...the other label sheets came from a record distributor (the record store I worked for, used a distributor in the Bronx)....."Hey mister! can I have that label sheet?"..."sure kid!...take it! so stop bodderin' me and let me finish yer order!"...so I basically got them for free.....John

Nice story, John. I used to work in a record/music shop in the late seventies but I never got to get my hands on anything like that.
Mind you, it was a small shop in a small provincial town in Oxfordshire!
I think we can forgive you for being, as the good Doctor puts it, "creative"!
Did you mean "formal", Doc?
Typos abound! (hurriedly checks own spelling)
Pix of me and the kids, now there's a thought................

Typos corrected.

It does no harm to add stuff to that record for now and we can always move the stuff across once we've worked out how we're going to do it properly.

I worked in two record shops/ stores in Glasgow, Scotland in the early to middle '70's. Great times they were, but I've NEVER seen the likes of this stuff.
Great finds, so VERY well done, B' John.

Thanks for the tip, stiffone, but I suspect that such a desirable item might well be beyond my limited coffers. I do have an A3 scanner though, so if BEATLEJOHN would like to "lend" me his..............

When the Apple shop in Baker St shut down they gave away everything for free. The day after it was first announced I went up there and stood by the side entrance as the front was packed. This bloke came out with a few bags of Apple ladies wear but, not being that way inclined and not having a girlfriend at the time I never took any and eventually ended up with nothing...if only I had put my pride aside!?

In the 80's I got to know some of the DJ's at Radio Bahrain when I worked in the country. They had a stack of BBC transcription LP's including 'The Beatles at the Beeb' double LP which I borrowed, took home and taped and I always wondered whether God was watching just to see if I 'forgot' to give it back. In the circumstances I think I might still go to Heaven...hopefully.

Would the ephemera section be the place to post cases of existing releases where there were no pressings by certain plants, i.e. certain labels that Columbia's custom pressing division didn't touch with a 10-foot pole (as below):

(If one seeks to hide it within that group of images, feel free to do so.)
