Dave McCadden wrote a review of Wylie's work in Black Echoes and stated that the orange label copies were bootlegs (circa June 1977). The following week John Anderson refuted his claim in a letter to the magazine.
I have scanned the two items from my dog-eared scrapbook.

As the purchaser of the remaining stock it was in John Anderson's interests to dispel any rumours - so probably this is not conclusive evidence.
And you're probably correct - in that at worst this is a legitimate second press made with the consent of Wylie.
