Old enough to remember when we had Railway Stations & didn’t have to listen to English folk saying irritating things like ‘Good to Go’.

In view of the vote to come this version of English Country Garden gets interesting from 2:06 onwards. Now broadcasters have two reasons for not playing the track. I'm sure that it was played, presumably by BBC, back in 1963 or thereabouts. And yet seemingly only an LP track.

Earl Van Dyke And The Soul Brothers

A: All For You
B: Too Many Fish In The Sea
This appears to be the instrumental accompaniment to Marvin Gaye's Lucky, Lucky Me.

UMG may not want us to post a video of Marvin singing Lucky, Lucky Me but we can at least hear the backing track at TMG 506 (as Earl Van Dyke's All For You).

A: Money
B: Bottle Up And Go
Perhaps an imaginary headline could read 'Impulsive Credit Confusion'. A nice version of 'Bottle Up & Go', but it was actually (according to the label of his Bluebird 78 - B8373B) written and recorded by Tommy McClennan back in 1939. As for the parentage of 'Money', well I guess one might not have wished to argue with the likes of Mr Gordy, but the nice note from thebluesneverdie certainly gives food for thought (see REP 3202)
