Old enough to remember when we had Railway Stations & didn’t have to listen to English folk saying irritating things like ‘Good to Go’.

John Lee Hooker

A: Money
B: Bottle Up And Go
Perhaps an imaginary headline could read 'Impulsive Credit Confusion'. A nice version of 'Bottle Up & Go', but it was actually (according to the label of his Bluebird 78 - B8373B) written and recorded by Tommy McClennan back in 1939. As for the parentage of 'Money', well I guess one might not have wished to argue with the likes of Mr Gordy, but the nice note from thebluesneverdie certainly gives food for thought (see REP 3202)

Lightnin' Hopkins

A: Mojo Hand
B: Glory Be
[YouTube Video]

Both Glory Be and Mojo Hand subsequently appeared on the 1962 Fire LP 'Mojo Hand' (FLP104). Interestingly, the single tracks are credited solely to Lightnin', while the same tracks on the LP additionally credit Bobby Robinson and Clarence Lewis (C. L. Blast). Perhaps not necessarily an indication of shared writing talent.

A: C'mon And Swim
B: C'mon And Swim Part 2
The video may just contain a couple of shots of Buster Keaton. It certainly looks like him, he was still active at this time and indeed appeared in 'How to Stuff a Wild Bikini' (1965). I can't believe I just contributed that. Get a life, man.

B: This Same Jesus

Recently came across this incredible track on one of the 'How Britain Got The Blues' compilations. Marvellous!
