Paul Revere And The Raiders

A: Like, Long Hair
B: Sharon
I do know that Like Long Hair made the Billboard charts nationally on April 17 '61 at #38 for one week.
And if you were to ask a music buff which one of these groups: Paul Revere and Raiders, Tokens, Beach Boys, or Four Seasons made the BillBoard Top 40 first . Chances are the Tokens would be the majority response. But alas the Tokens charted April 24 '61 one week after the Raiders.

Paul Revere And The Raiders

A: Beatnick Sticks
B: Orbit (The Spy)
PAUL REVERE another piece of the Rock'n Roll tapestry has now departed, leaving his legacy full of memorable songs and hits in North America anyway. Not so much in Great Britain evidently, where Paul Revere charted only one Top 50 song which only made it to #45 i believe. I forget the song which charted. I guess the name In Great Britain was a bit insulting to the British sensibilities and were not well received by either the radio Djs or the listening audience. Whatever the reason overseas, they were well received in North America Beginning with Like, Long Hair to Indian Reservation and everything in-between. The only two constants in the band were Paul Revere and Mark Lindsay, and from what I can tell Paul Revere(Dick) was his real name. And he was a little older than most that were born in the early to mid 40's. He was 76. Thanks Paul for the memories

Finally found it and the mystery is over. It's on Nimbus and i just bought it Sunday at a Record Collectors' show here in Vancouver BC. . Cost of only one buck not very much in any currency. I gave her two bucks i was so ecstatic to find it. That's one down, still a few more to go.

Little Richard

B: Tutti Frutti
As a Canadian, the older generation anyway, we spell words the British way and I've used many expressions from England as well as the States. But sandpit is referred to as a large area of space dug deeply down into a cavernous pit. That's my understanding
