Nub are another of the great "lost" British bands of the 90s (though I seemed to remember the drummer was an American guy called Jeff?). These guys made a couple of my favourite singles from this era and I wish that they had got to make an album also.
Musically adventurous beyond most of what was occurring around that time, they made a melodic, kind of post-rock blizzard of sound live and did a brilliant job of capturing it in the studio too!
Their music still sounds fresh and challenging today and I give them regular listens to date

Chuck And Dobby

A: Sad Over You
B: Sweeter Than Honey
Love these guys and love these x2 tunes also!

Monkey Island

A: Plain
B: Shining Thru
Monkey Island - one of the true, great "lost" bands of the Britpop era! Never really fitted in at that time but only because they were cutting a swathe of sonic terrorism thru' the grimier venues of North (and South) London for the better part of the 90s.
Well done Mr Robb also, for capturing the sound of "Swinging London" (2nd Blairite version) in slow motion disintegration!
It'll all end in a Turkish bar/cafe somewhere in Stoke Newington..

The Clean

A: Tally Ho!
B: Platypus
I do however have a copy of this, and it's one of my pride and joys.. :-)
What was Flying Nun 001?
Arrghh - I didn't know that there was an insert!
