I've got the UK issue, SS 129, and now seeing this US version for the first time, I wonder why it was flipped for UK, or was it to do with the matrix #'s, 45KR-3057 for 'Stop The Music' and 45KR-3058 for 'It's Love That Really Counts'. Any ideas?
I always preferred this US A-side, personally, but then I have always been a big fan of Mr. Bacharach, and his writing, arranging and production skills.
It's a great pity that such a talented musician is so poor a singer, I am not denigrating him, but it's painful to hear him performing his greatest songs, and must be doubly frustrating for the man himself.
