Columbia pressed vinyl 45's primarily in their Santa Maria, CA plant - which Mr. Buster would never have used, "the same Columbia records plant" was Pitman, NJ whose 45 output was virtually all styrene (except for a few stock pressings on Columbia, Epic and their various sublabels in 1973). However, given that Eric was founded in 1968 and the Pitman plant ceased pressing vinyl (and styrene) in late 1986, he appears to have been off on the pressing timeline by some 12 years (after 1986, Eric product was pressed in Carrollton, GA, and when that plant ceased pressing vinyl and styrene in 1991 pressings were then switched to MCA's Gloversville, NY plant which did do all vinyl).

But doesn't Columbia press on vinyl as well as styrene?

It would be styrene. Finding Eric 45s on vinyl is very rare. I once spoke with Bill Buster who mentioned to me that he had been using the same Columbia records plant to press his 45s for 30 years.

It's possible. Is your copy vinyl or styrene?

My copy shines reddish when vinyl is held up to the light (lamplight).
Is this caused by the type of vinyl that was used?

'A' & 'B' images of a further 'Eric Records' title added. Hope I've got this right mods, as I was uncertain which is rated the 'A', but I checked Eric/Brunswick etc carefully before logging.
