| ||Chicago looks likely as Jesse Anderson went to make solo records for Cadet and later on|
for Curtom subsidiary Thomas.
Sammy Junior = Sammy Faggitt ?
11th Jun 2012
| ||Raw uptempo R&B with a hoarse-voiced vocalist named Sammy Junior, a bluesy guitarist and riffing saxes. Also features a lengthy tenor sax solo. A little like Bobby Bland’s “Farther up the road” – although this was apparently a Chicago band, it has the same feel as the best Texas Duke productions. Flip is soul/R&B featuring vocalist Jesse Anderson alternately crooning like Dee Clark and then shredding his tonsils in Little Richard style. Sonlo Music indicates this was probably produced by Sonny Thompson.|
