There are quite a few John Peel records that I can firmly associate with places I heard them
"Dot Dash" by Wire, sat in my parents Caravan at Ullswater one June 78 evening listening to Peel because the Car Battery that powered the Portable Black and White TV had ran out of charge!
"Kitty Ricketts" by The Radiators From Space sat in our Living Room with our brand-new, delivered that day Ferguson Music Centre..record deck, Cassette Deck and STEREO TUNER!!! It was the first song he played that night, followed by Thin Lizzy doing "Things Ain't Working Out Down At The Farm"..I taped it. Still got the EMITAPE C90!
Yes, indeed, I always associate this record with John Peel. I particularly remember hearing him play it whilst I was sat in my car waiting to get out of a car park after a football match, but I can never remember where it was.
