 @Break-In master.........I just read your comment about {"He said, "half a second", not "hame".}

"Hame, the Scots language word for home"

......USA and United Kingdom, two nations divided by a common language......

 He said, "half a second", not "hame".
My 3 Scum does this version, but a little faster.

 My Little Red Book

.....apparently live version (lip sync), from Hollywood, with Dick Clark speaking to a frankly embarrassed group at the end of the performance..........
check Arthurs' facial expression when Dick say he will visit them at 'hame', priceless......

......with respect to video by clearbluesky, 26th Oct 2011, "He's Dead, Jim".

 Oh they are, they are. And probably the first since Bob Gibson's "Gilgarry Mountain" (12001) - not counting that special Oscar Brand 45.

It should also be noted that unlike Decca's Gloversville, NY plant whose labels are represented by {Images #278514 & 278515}, Columbia spelt Bacharach's surname correctly on the A side.

 Bacharach / Manfred Mann's original is nice and lush, but Love stripped the song beyond naked, right down to the bare bones!..a wonderful garage/proto-punk release if there ever was one.....apparently Bacharach hated it..(even better!)..Lee, Eccols and MacLean were years ahead of their time!......John

 Their first single. Interesting spelling of Burt Bacharach's name on the A side.
