Arf! Had a read of the sleeve. Eric used a Fender "Stratocester"...
He probably had Worcaster sauce on his Welsh Rarebit made with Double Gloucaster.

Some notes from Ted Carroll in one of Record Collector's Diggin For Gold, page 140 issue ?? (lost it, circa 1997/98). Decca didnt want to pay for a cover so Ted got one printed himself, about 2000 copies, however it was mostly left up to the distributors to put the covers with the vinyl, and as Ted found out when he opened Rock On, his back catalogue order came without the pic sleeve.

"Who's "Powney" in the credits for "Remembering Part II"?"

He used to play in goal for Brighton & Hove Albion *Brian Powney. It's easy to get them mixed up

Who's "Powney" in the credits for "Remembering Part II"? I thought the drummers name was "Brian Downey".Not only have they got it wrong on the demo, they have also spelt his name wrong on the stock copy!

what........ so it wasn't acker bilk and mungo jerry ! ; )

"Acker Bilk...co-owner of A&M Records"?! 'A' = Herb Alpert; & 'M' = Jerry Moss. A US label. Not a UK jazzer in sight; not even the esteemed Mr Bilk! Unless I missed something...?

A lovely object. The design is by Hairy Rodney of Plastic Dog in Bristol. That must be graphics whizz Rodney Matthews. The Bristol outfit put on gigs and had a breadth of multimedia - I understand they put on gigs at Malvern Winter Gardens.

Few copies came with this lavish Gatefold Sleeve. Some shadow beginning to appear on my Decca scans so its time to stop and give the scanner a break.
