Sladesounds I remember buying this record in 1977 on a 12" single, the first I ever saw and the first 12" I ever bought. Although it has disappeared over the years and has been replaced by a 7" disc I seem to remember that it was one of the first 12" single available for purchase in the UK, anyone know for sure (even though this only a 7" site at the moment!)

OOOOH No I had 12" singles long before I bought this and I still have It In It's Pristine State. How any of my records came out so nice after all the moves I really don't know. How am I going to get all these Into one room when I have to move Next Year Cause of the Bedroom Tax. We'll see when the time comes.H.

I also remember buying the 12" back in 1977, getting it home and discovering that a packer at the pressing plant had slipped Darts' first album inside the sleeve by mistake!

The first proper commercial 12" (disco) singles were released in the US in 1976 so '77 was probably about when the UK started catching up. I know at least 2 (non-disco) 12"s that predate this one (from late '77?) - The Who's Substitute/I'm A Boy/Pictures Of Lily reissue from 1976 and the Kinks' 'Pye Big Deal' reissue from May '77.
